Physical Health - Parasites:

Embracing Health Through
Empowerment and Discovery

Welcome to a heartfelt exploration of the profound connection between our health and the unseen world of parasites. This week, on our journey of self-discovery and empowerment, I wanted to delve into the importance of prevention and treatment around parasites.

Awakening to Awareness

Life's journey often presents unexpected twists and turns, and mine was no exception. I remember when my boys were little, they would often experience nights with itchy bums. Yikes!! Much to my disgust, when I looked further into this, I found they had somehow picked up worms. How did I know this? Well, and this is the gross part, I would wait until they were asleep, get the torch, and shine it at their derriere (buttocks), well anus actually! And, it was a shocking sight! Yep, there they were, little thin thread worms crawling around their anus. I almost vomited the first time I saw it. I had the worst reaction in my body and mind.

Argh, "how could I let this happen?" I thought. But then I found out others had experienced this too. My littlest some nights would scream at the pain of these things moving around when the night fell. I'd have to give him paracetamol to soothe him. It was utterly terrible!

The struggle to remove these little horrid worms was ongoing. I tried everything from natural wormwood tinctures to kids' chewable parasite cleansers, to chocolate-flavored pharmaceuticals, which seemed to work for a little while, only to find they kept coming back. Why? Because I was only dealing with the symptoms, not the cause. It felt like my worst nightmare. Our lives had been so disrupted by these tiny yet formidable organisms.

It wasn't until I got the boys into my clinic and on the table to find out the underlying cause of why they got them in the first place that things started to change.

This struggle ignited within me a newfound awareness of the intricate interplay between our bodies, the environment, and our emotions. If you, your children, or someone you know is struggling with parasites, keep reading as I share some of the reasons why we attract these little critters in the first place.

Understanding Symptoms and Causes

We often think of parasites, bacteria, and viruses in a negative context; however, we must remember that these organisms are part of nature and that they each have their own frequency. (More about that in another blog). I will go into both the physical and the metaphysical reasons behind parasites to help you better understand how and why we attract them into our lives.

On a physical level

Parasites can manifest in various ways, often masquerading as common health issues. However, they are only doing what they are programmed to do.

Physical symptoms may include

- Digestive discomfort, such as bloating, gas, or diarrhea
- Unexplained weight loss or changes in appetite
- Fatigue, weakness, or malaise
- Skin irritations, rashes, or itching
- Joint and muscle pain
- Anxiety, depression, or mood swings

Common causes of parasite infections include

- Poor hygiene practices, such as inadequate handwashing or food handling
- Consumption of contaminated food or water, especially in regions with inadequate sanitation
- Contact with infected animals or their feces
- Travel to areas with high parasite prevalence
- Weakened immune system due to stress, illness, or underlying health conditions

Metaphysical causes

The reasons and emotions behind why we might attract these little critters are varied; however, it is important to look at life from a holistic perspective and have an understanding of what is going on in your life at the time you have contracted them.

It is also important to look at your environment, the people in your environment, and the impact these other organisms may have on you. Often this can be a boundaries issue. If you have poor boundaries, feel like you are unable to say "no", or stand up for yourself, or you are feeling controlled by others and unable to make your own decisions, you will lower your vibration and frequency to that of these lower vibration critters, who will take homage in your physical body.

Think about kids in school; how often are they unable to say no or stand up for themselves when something doesn't feel right? If your kids have worms, then ask them if they are struggling at school. Now, imagine if they did stand up for themselves and they were met with a negative response that they then made mean their needs aren't important, leaving them feeling a sense of loneliness or emptiness and a void inside.

We can often have a positive association with parasites at an early age. People who invade our space, don't take no for an answer, make you feel wrong for standing up and setting boundaries can often be people we look up to, and so we allow them to continue with those behaviors, becoming a host and attracting personalities in our lives as we age until we learn to have better boundaries.

The Power of Prevention

In the face of adversity, we have the power to take control of our health and well-being. Through simple yet profound practices, we can fortify ourselves against potential threats, including physical and emotional parasites. By embracing our needs, understanding why we have attracted these energies into our lives, nourishing our bodies, and making some physical changes to hygiene, we can improve our boundaries and create a shield of protection that safeguards our vitality and resilience.

Nurturing the Body, Nourishing the Soul

Our journey toward optimal health is not merely a physical endeavor; it is a soulful odyssey of self-love and care. As we nourish our bodies with wholesome foods, herbal remedies, and detoxifying practices, we also nurture our spirits, cultivating a deep sense of connection and harmony within. It's about acknowledging the interconnectedness of all aspects of our being, from the physical to the emotional and spiritual.

Embracing Resilience and Growth

In the face of challenges, we discover the depths of our resilience. Standing up for ourselves takes courage and the power of our inner strength. While the presence of parasites may pose a threat to our well-being, it also serves as a catalyst for growth and transformation. It reminds us of our innate capacity to adapt, heal, and thrive in the face of adversity.

Empowerment Through Action

As we navigate the ever-changing currents of life, remember that true empowerment lies in our ability to take action and reclaim ownership of our health and happiness. Whether we've faced the challenge of parasites firsthand or stand as compassionate witnesses to others' struggles, we must embrace each day as an opportunity to honor and nurture the precious gift of life within us. Together, let's embark on a journey of empowerment, guided by love, wisdom, and the boundless potential of the human spirit.
