  • Next, we identify the underlying needs or values that are driving our feelings. By connecting with our needs, we gain clarity about what is truly important to us and what we are seeking in a given situation.

  • Finally, we make clear, actionable requests that are specific, concrete, and doable. By expressing our needs and making requests rather than demands, we invite collaboration and mutual problem-solving, fostering a spirit of cooperation and goodwill.

Empathic Listening
